Hi Patrick,
I am new to WP, new to Thesis new to well…ok that’s it.
I am learning how to use Thesis and WP at the same time on my test blog and am having a devil of a time figuring it all out. I’ve become a stalker on the DIY forums.

Anyway, I’m using Thesis 1.8 and was wondering if you are still using Photo Dropper and have noticed any issues with it. I really like this idea and if I can ever figure out how to get all the blog photos that ported over from my Blogger page to even work….this sounds like a great idea.

There, is so much that I am trying to figure out and get this page up and running on WP it’s all starting to run together.

Little pieces at a time like this help.

Lovely! Not using Thesis, but guessed it would work by removing all the .custom references – seems to be working like a champ! many thanks for the time this saves me hacking it (badly!) myself.

I haven’t upgraded any of my Thesis 1.7 sites to Wordpress 3.0 yet. I’ll probably wait for Thesis 1.8, which is in beta testing now, before I upgrade. And I’ll have to check all the plugins that I use, although thankfully it looks like a lot of the plugins are getting updated for WP 3.0 fairly quickly.

I’ve been meaning to install Photo Dropper for ages now, and to use this excellent tutorial to style it nicely. Now I see that development has stopped and there may be some problems.

I can’t find any up to date information elsewhere, so I was wondering whether you knew how well Photo Dropper works with Thesis 1.7 and WP 3.0?

I noticed this quirk with newer versions of Thesis. That’s why I changed how I am using Photo Dropper, which I described in this post:

I really like Photo Dropper, a nice, simple solution with excellant results. However, I post the Title, Some Contents, and tinyurl to Twitter. When the photo is posted at the top of the articles, the photo credit are posted as the lead for the Contents excerpt. At the moment I am curing this quirk by putting the photo at the beginning of the second paragraph when possible. Is there another possible solution?

Hi Pat: If I understand correctly, this places the image within the post itself. I like to use the in-built Thesis image options (Post Image) because this makes delivering thumbnails with teasers nice and easy.
Is there any way to integrate PhotoDropper so it puts the image into the Thesis Post Image container?
